Manila's air pollution comes mostly from road traffic, with older diesel jeepneys, buses and trucks among the main sources. Air quality tends to be worst from March to June, peaking in the hot, dry month of April, and best from November to January, when the cooler northeast monsoon sets in. In Metro Manila, Rizal Park, the Academic Oval at the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, and Bonifacio Global City in Taguig are popular places to run.
