Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about the Training Conditions Score, route analysis, and outdoor activity planning.
Is it safe to run today?
Check your Training Conditions Score — it combines air quality, temperature, wind, rain, humidity, and UV into a single 0–100 rating. Excellent and Good days are ideal for most runners, while Poor or Avoid means conditions aren't safe for outdoor training. For more details, read the Training Conditions Guide.
How often is air quality data updated?
Aeriqo shows the latest available readings, which are refreshed hourly. Data updates automatically when you revisit the page.
Where does your data come from?
We use official domestic agency monitoring stations where available and global providers for broader coverage. Learn more on our Data Sources page.
How does route analysis work?
You can draw a route directly on our interactive map by clicking waypoints, or upload a GPX/TCX file from your running app. We sample points along your route and fetch real-time air quality data for each segment, giving you a complete picture of conditions along your path. Read the full Route Analysis Guide.
Do I need a GPS file to analyze a route?
No! You can draw routes directly on the map by clicking to add waypoints. We'll automatically calculate the walking/running path between points. Of course, if you already have a GPX or TCX file from Strava, Garmin, or another app, you can upload that too.
Do I need an account?
No, not to check your score. You can see your Training Conditions Score instantly without an account. Create one to save locations, analyze routes, and access advanced features.
How accurate is the score for my exact location?
The score is based on regional air quality monitoring data, weather stations, and global models. Local conditions can vary, so use it as guidance and plan conservatively when conditions are borderline.
Do you have an app?
We're a web app, so you can use us in any browser without downloading anything. Want the app experience? On Android, tap ⋮ → Add to Home screen. On iOS, tap Share → Add to Home Screen.
Does Aeriqo track pollen?
Yes — for European locations, Aeriqo shows a pollen forecast broken down by type (grass, birch, olive, alder, mugwort, ragweed). You can see the current severity level and tap into hourly charts to find low-pollen windows for your workout. See our Pollen Season Playbook.
What about dust storms and wildfire smoke?
When Saharan dust or wildfire smoke elevates PM10 levels in your area, Aeriqo automatically shows an environmental hazard card with severity ratings and hourly forecasts. This appears alongside your regular AQI data so you get the full picture before heading out. Read the Wildfire Smoke Playbook.
